From this standpoint, Kalemat Center for Children’s Talent Development in Ajman, in cooperation with the Specialists for Learning Difficulties Center in Dubai, decided to open the Department of Special Education. It is a specialized center for early intervention and providing educational counselling services to special education groups and their families, for training using the most famous and latest early intervention program (Programme Portage), which is the investment of the critical periods of the first years of a child’s life to enable him to be independent in his daily life, school preparation and social adaptation.
Objectives, admission requirements, registration mechanism, and registration fees
One of the most important goals of the center is to reduce the social differences between children with special needs and ordinary children in the center, as they are an integral part of society. And to ensure that they reduce their dependence on sign language as a means of communicating with others, and in turn improve their levels of awareness and reduce their dependence on others.

Service Total Amount
- One-Time Consultation is 50 dirhams only
- The evaluation is 1500 dirhams or less according to the evaluation (for one time)
- Special education class 2500 dirhams (monthly) in case your son is enrolled in the class
- Individual sessions 150 dirhams (in each individual session)

Categories served by the center:
The center serves children with special needs throughout the year, whether during the school period or during the semester and annual holidays. As the parents of the child can choose the appropriate time for him according to the conditions, so that he can take the sessions in a useful and comfortable way under an environment suitable and prepared for the child.
The morning programme:
The center hosts children in the morning shift from eight in the morning until one in the afternoon, as the class accommodates 7 cases with a specialist in special education. The teacher works with them after individually, each according to the plan specified for him, with some group skills, especially what distinguishes us in our center is the integration. The integration of children of determination with the Baraem children in the center, or through reverse integration, which is the presence of some children from the center Inside the special education class. In addition, there is assistance for group activities
Evening programme:
The center hosts children in the evening, where individual sessions are provided for children by working with the child on his goals from the IEP provided by the Specialists Center. What distinguishes us in our center is that during vacations, some children of determination can participate in the various camps in the center, according to the conditions of admission from the specialists who follow the child’s condition, but on the condition that he follows the individual sessions during the camp time so that he can reach the level of the children participating in the center’s camp.

Within less than a year since the opening of the Special Education Department in the center, the number of children continuing and benefiting from our services has reached more than 15 children, ranging in age from two to ten years, with different cases whose problems are being address.

The services that we provide is to provide a suitable environment for the child with educational aids that help the child develop his skills in the right way. The children of the morning period can participate in the meal service as well as the transportation of the center, and also the participation of the children of the baraem program in the center in their parties and various activities.
